- Drummond phlox (Phlox drummondii) is a vibrant annual flower known for its clusters of scarlet-red, five-petaled blossoms, though many other colors exist. Native to Texas, it is a popular ornamental plant that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies to gardens throughout the summer
