• Cauliflower romanesco, one of the most beautiful vegetables, is an old Italian variety that resembles the taste of broccoli and cauliflower. The lime-green tightly packed spirals form a beautiful structure arranged in the Fibonacci sequence. A cool-weather vegetable, cauliflower romanesco can be grown easily from seeds in the autumn-winter season. Cauliflower romanesco can be prepared just like broccoli or cauliflower i.e. blanched, braised or cooked.

• Water – Cauliflower romanesco require event moist soil for good curd formation. Mulch the ground to prepare the site for better moisture retention.
• Soil – Cauliflower romanesco prefers soil rich in organic matter. Hence it is advised to add some aged manure to the soil before planting. The ideal pH range would be 6.5 to 7.5.
• Sunlight – Grow cauliflower romanesco in full direct sun.
• Temperature – Ideal soil temperature for germination of cauliflower romanesco seeds ranges between ​​18-24°C.
• Pests – Cauliflower romanesco can be attacked by cabbage worms, aphids, loopers and cutworms. Regular checking and organic neem spray are recommended to keep these in check. In addition to these, cauliflower romanesco is susceptible to root rot and downy mildew which can occur due to soggy soil. Maintain good drainage to avoid these diseases.
