Description
- Chinese Cabbage is a green leafy vegetable that has a tall, extended, oval shape with a semi-tight cone-shaped head. The head and leaves both are edible and can be eaten raw in salads or can be cooked stir-fried, lightly steamed, and served with sauce. The leaves and white stems (head) of the Granaat are crispy and soft, mild, and sweet flavored.

- Soil – Chinese Cabbage should be planted in well-draining, sandy soil that is rich in organic matter.
- Water – When the temperature is warm-up, regular watering. Never let the soil dry out completely because Chinese Cabbage Granaat likes slightly moist soil.
- Sunlight – Granaat grows best in full sun but it can also tolerate partial shade.
- Temperature – Optimum Chinese cabbage growing temperature is 12-25°C; however it can also grow in temperatures between 10-32°C.
- Common pests and diseases – Cabbage looper, worms, and aphids damage the plants and eat their leaves. Granaat Chinese cabbage is infected with bacterial soft rot and root rot due to excessive soil moisture, over-watering, and poor drainage. To protect the Granaat from insects or pests, spray neem oil on your plants.
