Gaillardia, also known as the blanket flowers, are easy to grow daisy-like flowers producing festive blooms from summer to fall (rainy season). The blooms come in warm colors of red wine, orange, peach, yellow and sometimes a combination of red and orange. The nectar-attracting plants are drought resistant perennials enjoying full sun and fertile soil. These long bloomers make excellent border plants. Their thread-like leaves add ornamental value to the cheerful flowers.
