Description
- The red habanero is the hottest variety of chili, and people can’t believe it’s 12-100 times hotter than a jalapeno. It is more spicy and fruity flavor make it very popular in the last few years. Red habanero peppers are small, about 2.5-5 cm and the skin is waxy, shiny, and smooth with many folds. The flesh of red habanero is thin, crispy, and pale red in color that is filled with flat, round, and cream-colored seeds. Red habanero peppers are perfect for both raw and cooked; it give an excellent flavor to any dish. Growing habanero in pots is very easy in your home garden or kitchen garden because it does not need much space to grow.

- Water – Habanero pepper chilies do not require too much water as compared to other plants, give water when the top layer of soil becomes dry but keep the soil moist not soggy.
- Soil – Use well-drained and fertile soil for the best result for habanero plants with 6.5-7.0 ph.
- Sunlight – Habanero sunlight requirements are at least 6 hours of direct sunlight.
- Temperature – The optimum Habanero growing temperature is 21 to 35°C.
- Common Pests and diseases – Aphids, cutworms, flea beetles, root-knot nematodes, and many more are found in the habanero pepper plant. Powdery mildew and bacterial leaf spot are some diseases that affect the whole pepper plant. To control these pests use neem oil in your chili plants and use amino acids through sprays may be avoiding the injection of disease in chili-pepper plants.
