- Chicory microgreen seeds yield nutrient-dense, crisp seedlings with a pleasantly mild, gourmet bitter flavour profile. They are highly favored by chefs for bringing a sharp, sophisticated contrast to rich dishes, salads, and artisan sandwiches.
- Prepare the Base: Fill a shallow planting tray with 1–2 inches of fine potting soil or a coco coir sheet, pressing down lightly to level it
- Sow Dense: Scatter the seeds evenly across the entire surface. Because you are harvesting them as tiny seedlings, you can plant them much closer together than traditional garden spacing.
- Mist and Cover: Spray the seeds gently with water. Cover the tray with a lid or another flipped tray for the blackout period to lock in moisture.
- Expose to Light: Once the sprouts are roughly half an inch tall, remove the cover and place them under a grow light or on a sunny windowsill until they develop vibrant green leaves.
- Harvest: Use clean scissors to snip the microgreens just above the soil line as soon as the first set of true leaves opens.
