  • The cluster bean is an annual legume and grows well in warm conditions. Cluster bean plant grows well in shade, but plants need 6-8 hours of direct sunlight for the best flowering. Fruiting Starts From the Base Of Plants Which Continuous For a Longer Period of time.
  • Where to grow: Balcony or terrace garden Growing season: Summer and Rainy Seeds sowing depth: 1 to 2 cm Germination Time: 6 to 10 days Germination temperature: 25°C to 35°C Harvesting: 60 to 70 Days Plant vigor: Strong plant
  • Soil – Cluster beans prefer fertile and sandy loam soil with PH between 7-8.
  • Water – Give regular water to cluster bean plants in the summer season and two days once in the winter season. Make sure the soil remains moist.
  • Sunlight – Cluster beans need 6-8 hours of full sunlight.
  • Temperature – Best temperature for growing cluster bean plants is ranging between 30 to 40 degree Celsius.
  • Common pests and diseases – Cutworms, Aphids, Flea beetles, Colorado potato bugs, Spider mites, and Tomato hornworms are some common pests that attack cluster bean plants, and cluster plants are also affected by some diseases like Bacterial blight, Alternaria leaf spot, Anthracnose, Colletotrichum capsici, Powdery mildew.
