Description

  • Radish Short is a white, long, and thick variety of radishes that is about 7-10 inches long. The skin of the radish is completely white and is delicate, and crisp with a slightly sweet taste.
  • Sowing season: October to February Sowing method: Direct Seeds sowing depth: 1/4 inch Germination Time: 4 to 10 days Germination temperature: 12 to 24°C Harvesting: 30-60 days from seed sowing. Plant vigor: Strong plant with 7-10 inches long Root
  • Water – Give regular water to radish plants and keep the soil moist not soggy.
  • Soil – For better results for radish plants use well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil with a PH of 6.0 to 7.
  • Sunlight – Radishes need full sun (at least 6 hours of direct light is necessary for the fast growth of radish plants).
  • Temperature – Ideal temperature for growing radish plants is 10-30°C.
  • Common pests – Some pests like snails, slugs, aphids, flea beetles, cutworms, and cabbage looper can attack radish plants. Cabbage maggot can spread a disease called a bacterial black spot to the roots. Use organic insecticide neem oil to control pests and diseases in radish plants.
