Description
- Spoon tomatoes are an heirloom variety known as the world’s smallest cultivated tomato, with fruits roughly the size of a pea or red currant. Despite their tiny size, they pack a sweet-tart, intense tomato flavor and a firm texture that “pops” when eaten.
- Sowing: Plant seeds about 0.5 cm deep in well-drained soil.
- Sunlight: They require at least 6–8 hours of full sun daily.
- Plant Style: These are indeterminate plants, meaning they continue to grow and fruit until the first frost. They can become quite sprawling and may need a cage or trellis for support.
- Containers: They thrive in 8–12 inch pots or hanging baskets, making them ideal for small spaces or balconies.
